Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a non-conventional, non-invasive therapy that aims to improve health without the use of medication. Its philosophy is based on an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, integrating all the systems (visceral, cranial and structural), through which it is possible to rebalance the body's functions

It is a method of diagnosis and treatment that uses natural resources to take a therapeutic approach to the body and its pain. It can involve soft tissue techniques combined with mobilisation and osteoarticular manipulation.

Osteopathy can intervene in various aspects such as acute and chronic lumbar and cervical pain, joint and arthritic pain, headaches, back pain and shoulder and shoulder girdle problems.

The number of treatments will depend on each patient and their condition (e.g. type of complaint, duration of symptoms, location of complaints, etc).

Children's Osteopathy

Paediatric osteopathy is based on an in-depth knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of babies' and children's bodies, as well as their sensory-motor development.

According to some studies, 80% of children suffer birth injuries, which can be discreet and subtle, only recognised by the trained hands of an osteopath; but can also be severe and immediately noticeable by simply
observation of the child.

In the weeks following the birth, a brief check-up with an osteopath is always recommended.

This session is highly recommended if the birth was difficult: very long labour or, on the other hand, very intense and fast labour; use of forceps or suction cups; pelvic presentation; induced labour or caesarean section, which often disrupt the normal functioning of the baby's cranial structures.

Children's osteopathy allows us to stimulate and improve the sensory-motor development of babies and children, assess and treat mobility restrictions and improve the quality of life and health of your baby or child.

We work with children from 0 to 14 years old
